Sheepskin lining and leather are much thinner than older versions. Insoles are thinner too so boot not as comfy as older version., Overall seems like boot will wear out faster. I do like the grip on bottom of boot. LOVED the older version these are ok but i expect more plush sheepskin lining from Ugg :(

I just recieved my 3rd pair of the Riverton boot for my son. These have been the very best boots, warm, comfortable, easy on/off, easy clean. This last pair I just recieved is NOT fully lined, the top around the toe is no longer lined. This is what makes them so warm and cozy. I am SO disappointed. I will be sending them back and looking for something else.

This is not the 1st time I buy these boots. My 5 year old has them now and had another pair before, my husband has them too. I was very disapointed that this pair that I bought for my older son in size 3 is NOT lined with sheep fur all around. The part where it is needed the most, around the toes, is NOT lined. I did not expect that, having bought many pairs of this model before. The little kids sizes are lined all around, the adult size is lined as well. If I've known before that size 3 isn't lined, I wouldn've bought it. Eventhough they look great, I will not buy them again! Next time I am thinking of buying a pair of "Cowen" boots for my son. Based on the reviews, they should be great and lined all around.

ConsNot As Warm
We ordered these boots in black for my older son who is 13. They are nice and well made, easy to put on and take off... But they are not as warm! Previous boots we ordered a couple years ago - they had fur lining all over - from top to toes. Those old boots were nice and warm. But this new model doesn't have fur lining over the toes - where you need it the most in winter. They are nice but not very practical for winter. I won't buy them again just for this reason. Our winter is very mild this year, so we can survive with these boots.
