Black Carat

Proseasy to blend, long-lasting
Love, love this shadow! I hope LM creates more earthy colors in the future. It's perfect for day or night and it's got a great metallic shimmer (not like other cheap glitter shadows). I apply it wet for evening wear for a more dramatic effect. The black gold eye liner pen is a perfect compliment.

Too Metallic
PostedDecember 7, 2012
Prosmetallic, flaky
I was very surprised when I opened this and saw just how metallic it is. I have a tough time using it as a liner - my main reason for buying it - since it doesn't really stick. The color is nice, but it doesn't do me much good if I can't get it on my eyes!

Black Karat!
PostedOctober 11, 2012
Proseasy to blend, smudgable, long-lasting, glittering
I got Black Karat from a gift set and boy how I wish I had got my hands on this beauty sooner! This morning out of whim I just picked up the shadow and applied with my bare hand, and the color was just beautiful. It's a greenish khaki shimmer with intense color payoff, can be layered up or down depends on the effects you want. Even though it's glittering nothing ever falls off, and it just stays put for hours. I'm going to try other colors from this wonderful eye collection and again Lura Mercier does not disappoint!

Pretty in pink- Ballet Slippers
PostedJune 25, 2012
Proseasy to blend, smudgable, long-lasting
I purchased the Ballet Slippers shade of Laura Mercier baked shadow because I was looking for a neutral everyday shade that could easily transition into a nighttime shadow. This color did the trick- it is a neutral champagne beige-rose color with a pearlized sheen. I loved this color on and I loved the feel of the shadow. You can apply it with a brush or just use your fingers. I wet my fingers with water to apply the shadow to my lid and it really made the color pop!
