Great shoe

I purchased these shoes for my father-in-law. Once he put them on, he decided he would sleep in them because he was so pleased with the shoe. A perfect fit and appealing wear. You will not be disappointed with this shoe. I ordered myself a pair too. My shoes are a perfect fit as well. The shoes are a work of art and I really enjoy them. A man's shoe.
I have read about allen edmonds shoes for awhile now and the player's are my first official purchase of the brand. My original intent was to purchase a pair of AE's in the walnut color way and when i saw the sale on these, i jumped at the opportunity. The shoe is actually a little darker in color than what the picture above shows. However, that makes the shoe even more versatile. Being the color it is, i can wear it with a wider variety of suits/trousers. They even look amazing being paired up with a pair of dark jeans. Another great thing is that the player's are only found in suede color ways and being that this is a nordstrom walnut leather exclusive, it makes the shoes even rarer to others. In sneakers i am a sz 10.5 and dress shoes i am a 10 D. These AE's hold true to my dress shoe size perfectly. Also, right out of the box the shoes felt very comfortable. (Though i will spend the next few days breaking them in) Currently i am a college student trying my best to enhance my wardrobe. Though AE's can be expensive, i know that i have purchased a quality to shoe that will last be a lifetime. I know now that i will be an Allen Edmonds customer for life.

Handsome Shoes

When I walked into Nordstrom I had no intention of buying anything. I was simply tagging along with a friend who wanted to check out the half-yearly sale. When I saw these shoes were marked down, I couldn't help myself. I've been eyeing a pair of Allen Edmonds for the past six months and the deal was too good to pass up. (As an aside, the leather Players show is only made for Nordstrom, as a special thank-you for selling so many Allen Edmonds. I personally don't care how rare the shoes are, but if you are into owning a unique Allen Edmond Shoe, this one is for you.)
I've only owned these shoes for a week, but I'm quite sure I made the right choice. They're even more attractive in person than in the pictures. The sizing is perfect, and the quality is plain-to-see. I wear dress shoes daily and I'm hard on them. I suspect these will hold up well.

These are some gorgeous shoes that will last you a life time! To the people that say that they are "uncomfortable", you need to break them in. These shoes come with a cork sole that needs to be worn in which will be uncomfortable during the break in period. Once that period has passed you will be able to wear them all day with no problems. Another great thing about these shoes is that you can resole them after you give them lots on love and wear.
The moral of the story- buy these shoes, break them in, and love them. They look great with a light colored suit, dark slim denim, with socks, and without socks.
