They are very clean looking and lighter than most shoes like them. A lot more support than I expected

Fingernails On a Chalkboard

These are NOT the traditional Converse Jack Purcell leather sneakers. They're now made in China, and they no longer have the cork insoles, the blue contrast stripe on the toe (the groove for it is still there), or the blue soles. But the deal-breaker is the noise from these new ribbed grey rubber sole that squeaks like fingernails on a chalkboard on any solid surface. It's almost impossible to walk through a room that has a tile, stone, or concrete floor without squeaking at least a few times. And the noise is so loud, you're guaranteed to stop conversations and turn heads. Not really the kind of attention I want, but if you're into that sort of thing then these may be the perfect sneaker for your. /s
Xmas gift made our son very happy. He seeks style as well as fit and luxury and these cool sneaks check every box. The salesperson suggested we go down a size as they supposedly run large but we had to return for his true size, which was just right.
