I RECENTLY PURCHASED THIS DRESS FOR MY SON'S UPCOMING MARCH WEDDING. I HAVE NEVER BEFORE MADE AN ONLINE CLOTHING PURCHASE, BUT DECIDED TO TAKE A CHANCE SINCE THIS DRESS WAS NOT AVAILABLE AT MY LOCAL NORDSTROM DEPARTMENT STORE. I FULLY EXPECTED TO HAVE TO RETURN THIS ITEM, BUT MUCH TO MY SURPRISE AND RELIEF, IT FIT BEAUTIFULLY. I AM 5'8" TALL, AND ON THE HEAVY SIDE. I ORDERED THE SIZE 16 AND FOUND IT COVERS A MULTITUDE OF IMPERFECTIONS. THIS DRESS IS VERY SLIMMING, SOPHISTICATED, AND ELEGANT. IT IS A BIG HIT WITH MY SON AND FUTURE DAUGHTER- IN- LAW. This dress is a winner! First, I love the color. It's an eggplant shade and it's a refreshing change from black, which is what I wear most of the time. The length is perfect for me, but I am tall, 5'10", and no hemming is required. It is figure flattering if you need to hide any sins, such as a belly. Love the flutter sleeves; just gives it that extra oomph. Because of the color, either silver or gold can be worn to accessorize the dress. I'm sure that I will feel like the belle of the ball at a black tie function that I will be attending soon. This is the second special occasion dress I've ordered from Nordstrom's online service and both times have been a winner. In fact, I find more gorgeous special occasion dresses online than I do in the store.
