I had so much trouble finding a dress for my son's wedding that fit and still matched my style, and the minute I tried this one on, I knew it was the one. Since I'd had fit problems with other dresses I'd tried, I ordered this in two sizes, but it actually was true to size. I ordered it in petite, so I don't have to have it shortened, which is great. It feels heavy coming out of the box, but when I put it on, it didn't feel heavy at all. I think it's flattering for someone who is a bit overweight, as I am. It's a simple, classic stye, which I really like. I would definitely recommend this.

I am 5' & it was just a little too heavy for me on the top. The beading was beautiful. The ease in ordering on line & return it at the store was great.

This dress is absolutely perfect for my daughter's wedding for me as the mother of the bride. I had ordered both a size 10 & 8 since I am losing weight, but both dresses are spectacular and really flattering.

Wore this dress to my son's June wedding in Houston and received raving compliments. It. Is. Gorgeous. The little flutter sleeve and low back are nice and I was able to wear a regular bra with straps. The length IS long, but I chose champagne colored 4" heels and didn't have to have any alternations (I am 5'4"). I felt the dress was true to size as I ordered a size 8 and a 10, and returned the 10. The plum/eggplant color was exactly what I was looking for and it is very comfortable, too (no zipper, hooks, buttons, etc.) My family and friends could not stop talking about the dress and I couldn't have made a better choice. This is the 2nd "mother" dress I have ordered from Nordstrom and have had the same positive experience both times. I read the reviews and then order several dresses in different sizes and styles and it is no problem returning them. Will be shopping again for my daughter's wedding next Spring.
