Perfect dress for mother of groom. Simple design but looks and feels elegant, hides flaws well. For a less than ideal figure, needs alteration - for me, top ran large relative to hips. Smaller size regular fit better than larger petite, though considerable shortening required. Nordstrom was very accommodating in sending alternate sizes to try on. Delighted to find this dress.

Few sequins and beading created a skimpy look on the top. However, the deep purple color chiffon skirt is beautiful.

This was my son's favorite dress for me to wear to his wedding. It fit beautifully and was slenderizing. The beading, however, scratched my skin along the neckline and made the dress very uncomfortable for me. I was surprised I did not see this in other reviews. Maybe I am overly sensitive. I could not imagine wearing this dress all day at our son's wedding. It is beautiful, though.

I bought this dress first in the petite size since I am 5'1. The length fit great but the top was also shorter and didn't fit right. I sent it back and got a regular size. The top fit better but I would have to have it hemmed alot. Also the bottom of the dress has alot of material so I would need to see if some could be taken off. I returned it but will keep it in mind for my son's October wedding because the color is beautiful and the top is very pretty with the sequins.
