I think that having a basic black T like this is such a staple for any wardrobe. This T shirt is made of a very nice light material and is a good length.
I love this tee! recently discovered Vince.... when this top went on sale I ended up buying two in the black because I loved it so much. The white was also a good fit, but sheer and with young kids, I'm not much of a white tee wearer these days. As far as sizing goes, I couldn't decide between an XS or a S...I go between both, depending on the top; with this I went with a small and glad I did; the Small is a perfect fit, with a little room so it's not skin tight. Can't wait to see if they have more colors on sale soon! The full price is a little steep for a basic tee, but it DOES fit well. ...and that being said, I have no problem spending more money on other items by Vince...the quality is fabulous and I love the loose, boxy fits of many of the tops/sweaters.
A favorite of my tees, I have a collection of them and wear them year round. If you have issue with paying $60 for a tee, you've never tried on this one. It's super soft and comfortable and washes incredibly well.
Love the cut--I'm tall, and have a long torso, so this shirt is perfect. It's not boxy or too short (which is SO common if you're a tall girl looking for a simple, basic tee), has nice sleeve length, and good color saturation. I wear a ton of black, and am quite sensitive to different iterations of this shade.
Would highly recommend for layering, as the cotton is more tissue-like, without too much awful stretchy stuff added. Call me a purist. Personally, I've been wearing it on its own with patterned pants and boots.
