These boots seem comfortable and they are indeed the perfect shaft height for petites (5'2 here), plus the leather is really soft. That said, they ran really big for me, possibly because I'm not used to being able to find wide width shoes and I think I should have sized down rather than getting the numerical size I would normally get with a medium width (although it doesn't look like they offer 5 1/2). I could probably get past this with thick enough socks, but the ankle area was too full/baggy and as a result they didn't have that sleek, fitted look I was hoping for. The search continues.

great stacked heel boot

This is a very pretty boot. I have been looking for a stacked heel boot, and this is just about as perfect as I can find, and the price is great! The only thing, and this is just me, is that my feet did get sore after I wore them all day, but I usually do not wear heels on a daily basis any longer. I have bought and returned boots for about 2 years from a couple of sources, and finally, I found some that I really, really liked. I can wear them casually, or dress them up! I would buy them in another color! I am usually 8 !/2 or 9, and the 8 1/2 was perfect.

The boot toe had a nice shape, nice leather and the shaft came to a few inches below my knee which I liked because I am petite. However, there was way too much space around my calf. It even stood away from my leg with skinny jeans and looked silly with tights. The boot did not really have any shape so my ankles looked as wide as the rest of my leg. The search continues.
My calves measure 11 1/2" around, and I am only 5'1, so finding boots that don't overwhelm my legs in both height and circumference is a daunting chore. These, however, were perfect! While the circumference is still a bit wider than my leg; the height was perfect (steering clear of the bottom of my knee by a couple of inches). I can wear anything between a 5 and a 6. I purchased these in a 5 1/2 and the fit is perfect (and comfortable for all-day wear). Initially I purchased the Rust color (which is very similar to a Cognac shade, but slightly more red-leaning); but after they arrived, I ordered the Black, as well. I love the back collar cut-out - it's an interesting detail that makes the style a bit more fun. I will definitely be picking up a pair in Cognac if they restock them in my size. Highly recommended - especially for girls who are short!
