I was looking forward to getting these boots. THe fit was ok, I am 5'2 so they hit at the right place, however the black color of the leather rubbed off on my hands as I was putting them on. I have never had that happen with anyother leather items I own in black! Sending back!

Why oh why does this boot not come in wider calf sizes. I really like this boot because of the rich buttery smooth leather accompanied with a sturdy and comfortable 3 1/2 inch heel. I purchased both a 6.5W and 7M to be sure one would fit. Unfortunately NEITHER one fit just right. The 6.5W fit my foot just fine but it was too tight around my calves. The 7M was a bit narrow in the foot and created a gap around my ankles. They were tight in the calves as well. It would have made more sense to design this style with not only a wide width but a wide calf area also. But who am I...just a shoe lover without a cute pair of boots.

Halogen Boot Issue

I am tall, 5'8" and my calf is not large so the width of the calf is a little larger than I would like. The size did not run true to size for me as it is a little smaller than I expected so I would need a half size larger. Either the heel height or the way the boot is constructed tips me a little too forward and I did not find them comfortable to walk in as they hurt my feet and were awkward. The leather and quality are very good but I am going to return them.

I purchased the black, loved it and got the cognac as well. I always struggle finding a pair of shoes with stack heels that are comfortable and stylish. Look no more, Halogen delivers!
