I was looking for a pair of black oxfords that were stylish, made well, and wouldn't break the bank and ended up getting these. They have the look of much more expensive brands but with cost saving features that don't scream cheap.
Yes, they do have a rubber sole, but it's not bulky or obvious in any way. The cap toe design adds a bit of flare while maintaining a clean, understated design. The shape is modern but not overdone. If they last, I could see myself wearing these for years.
The fit is a bit narrow but not uncomfortable unless you have extremely wide feet. They DO run a half size too small. I'm always skeptical of buying things too small but it really is true.
If you want a contemporary dress shoe that shows you care about how you look, but doesn't leave your wallet empty, look no further. Nordstroms offers free shipping and returns which is great.

Get a Half Size Down

I first tried these on in the store and discovered I needed a half size down. The store did not have the size I needed so I ordered the proper size via Nordstrom.com's website. I'm normally a size 11 but had to get a 10.5.
These are great quality and nice looking dress shoes for a not so heavy hit to the wallet. I purchased them in black and will more than likely also order them in brown very soon.

I wore these to a job interview in San Francisco and was the best dressed in the office. i felt like a million bucks walking down the street, too. They rubbed my achilles raw though, but they were new so shame on me. But they were very comfortable walking around, which was a good thing.
