Comfortable, but doesn't offer any shape. It does run slightly larger, but I found the small to be too tight at the waistband and had to exchange for my usual medium. The medium is quite baggy around the ankles.
These leggings are the BEST! The wide waistband is very flattering and tummy-flattening. The fabric is very stretchy, but never see-through, thick enough that panty lines aren't obvious. I wear pants-size 8-10 and a Medium fits perfectly. My problem with most leggings is that the top half of my body is a full size smaller than my hips/thighs, so many leggings (and pants in general) are either too tight on hips/thighs, or to loose at the waist and want to fall down. These do not have that issue as I was able to get the Medium size to fit my waist and the extra-stretchy and thick leggings are able to cover hips and butt. I bought these as a replacement pair for my old ones I snagged on a metal drawer at work (far beyond normal wear/tear) and put a hole in. Those were at least 3 years old and could have gone longer if I hadn't hit the sharp drawer.
