Most comfortable casual shoe I've worn. Excellent detail. Quality of craftsmanship is great, very pleased, hope to have for years to come. Fit - sometimes I am between 13 and 14, this shoes runs long and is perfect.

I own 6 pairs of AE's and these are not my favorite AE's, these are my favorite SHOES.
Super comfortable right out of the box. I was a little nervous going with the leather sole, because I am in sales and on my feet a lot. Don't worry about it, these shoes are great.
I get complements almost every time I wear them.
My next pair of AE's are going to be the Football leather oxfords as soon as they come out.
Keep up the good work AE. Big fan in Pensacola. FL.

I wore these shoes only one day today, and I absolutely love them. They look fantastic and feel amazing. They are an attention grabber also. These shoes are well worth the money. I didn't have the nerve to buy the ones with the orange trim and shoe strings but I still want them also! LOL

My first real shoe!

I'm in my early 40's and finally decided it was time to invest in my shoes. I was sick of having to go out and buy new pairs every year or two once they started falling apart. I still have a 20 year old pair of Florsheims that I purchased that have just started to crack. I had those resoled several times, but they don't make that brand like they used to in the past. I searched several forums and found AE. I was surprised to find that they were made in Wisconsin as I went to school in Green Bay.
I no longer dress in a suit... it's been 15 years since I was working a job that required a tie. However I wanted a shoe that could be worn with casual attire and still be used with a suit on a rare occasion. The McTavish caught my eye immediately and I've been very happy. It does run a 1/2 size large, so I went with a 9D instead of the usual 9 1/2. Shoe is comfortable at start, if not a little stiff, but it has a double sole and has already started to break in.
Great service from Cody at the Ashford Dunwoody store in Atlanta. He also showed me a the matching belt which I plan to purchase in the future.
