Problem with smokey grey?

These shoes out of the box fit great, and the styling was just as pictured. The color was much better than pictured, but there was damage to each shoe. On one it looked like a knife had cut into the leather, leaving an overlap between the cut section and the leather beneath. I returned this pair, hoping the next would be improved. On the second pair, the toe of the right shoe had an imprints left in it, in the shape of an asterisk. On the left instep again there was a cut. Not sure if this is a problem with this color, but I have not seen this problem in other pairs of shoes I have purchased.

Beautiful shoe

Got the cognac brown for my birthday. Probably the nicest looking shoe i've ever had. Beautiful dark brown leather with just the right amount of shine. With other shoes i typically wear 9.5-10, originally ordered a 9 and had to return for an 8.5. It was worth waiting to get the correct size, these fit great (especially being able to return no questions asked.)

Unsurpassed business casual shoe

McTavish is my go-to business casual shoe. In my opinion, natural tan color is the most versatile (due to leather, sole & laces combination) and I use it to upgrade my casual pants (chinos & denims). Cognac color is more warm and and I can use it to dress down a suit (I think that this color can do it better than the natural). After a year of very often use I can tell that the look of distressed leather can be easy maintained with regular cleaning & saddle soap, when needed (the look is affected more with the conditioner). The natural sole darkens more, but it can be protected with sole edge product. I have to mention that the form of the shoe is roomy and I had to go 1/2 size down. In general, I have recieved a lot of compliments and I belive that McTavish is the unsurpassed business casual shoe.

Great looking shoe, made to last like all Allen Edmond shoes. Perfect for those Business casual days. I have recieved numerous compliments from co worker and customers. The fit was alittle off though. i normally wear a 10.5 and these were a size 10. This is another Hit for AE!!!!! Nice Job!!!!
