i opened the box and put on the shoes and wore them for the next 12 hrs in absolute comfort narry a pinch, with no break in..something I have come to expect from Allen Edmonds shoes ( yes a few lasts are not for me) but this shoe is perfect as have been the Maine sewn boat shoes and the famous tassel/kiltie slip-ons of which I have owned many (with recrafting) which you need to bring back (a signature shoe) even in a limited run... These American made shoes are expensive but worth it...My son is a convert after his Park Ave shoes and recently the Jefferson (special treat). Keep up the local production...there is no substitute!!

Definitely stands out. Very versatile. Definitely a much high quality of shoe than I am used to. I will be coming back.

Great shoe, Great feel, Great Presence

I needed a single crossover shoe - meaning one which can be worn with dress pants or jeans alike. Having suffered from plantar fasciitis I was worried about the shoe's impact on my pain. Needless to say, the shoe feels fantastic and gets many compliments. I have worn them for 8 weeks now, and am ready to buy another pair for AE shoes. I am now a converted follower of AE shoes.
The only downside on this shoe is the maintenance. A bit tough to polish due to the back dye and brown stitching.

Everywhere I where them I am complemented on them. They are great with Levi's or casual dress!
