Beautiful Shoe, uncomfortable last

The McTavish comes out of the box with a striking look that combines well with khakis or jeans. One can dress this way down for weekend casual ware, or try to pull it off with office casual. The last is, unfortunately, not ideally paired to the shoe. I wear a size 13 and I find that the shoes do not fit snugly enough. They do, however, look better and better with age as the leather gets darker.

Being a shoe designer myself, I have a very aesthetic and technical eye for details. I bought this shoe after trying on a pair at a Menswear show in NY. The moment I saw it, I fell in love with the cool contrast tan stitch on the black upper with a natural color stacked leather bottom. The upper leather material has a wonderful distressed look and great hand. This shoe is extremely well-made with a Good Year welted construction in the outsole that gives it a sturdy and solid look.
If you are looking for style with real substance, this is the shoe to buy.

This shoe conforms to your feet remarkably well, and is comfortable enough to wear all day. The unique finish and design perfectly accompanies a variety of styles.

This is one pair of the 5 that I have and enjoy wearing to work and out on the town. When wearing my Allen Edmonds I do get noticed and complimented by both men and women. The style allows me to dress casual as well as business casual with comfort throught the day. The more I wear the rough collection I see slight changes in the leather which adds character to my daily wardrobe-it's like having a different pair of shoes each time I put them on. Thanks for the new collection and another choice of quality shoes.
