Great Shoe

I ordered these in the cordovan and received them yesterday. Plain but elegant, this is absolutely a beautiful shoe. Because of the double oaks sole it will take some braking in, however, I look forward to many years of wearing this shoe

Buckle may be a problem

First I just want to say I have I plan to return these when I get a chance I haven't yet because they were purchased by my wife out of town. I have the shoe in a size 14 B. Very comfortable shoe and looks outstanding with casual attire just like this shoe was intended for. My complaint is with the buckle. I wore these shoes about 8-10 times. A noise developed and I couldn't tell if it was from the heel or the buckle. Then I noticed one of the buckles leather start to seperate. I still think the heel make a noise but obviously the buckle is a problem too. I have other AE shoes with no problems. I think this was just a lemon.

Love this shoe!

I bought this shoe in brown from an on-line store. True to my typical AE 8D size, it fits like a glove. I like the burnished finish; it adds a bit of extra character to the shoe.
I love the "heft" of the double oak sole...just like the Walton that I have had for many years and has been re-crafted once....I will surely enjoy many years of comfortable and stylish wear.
The Norwich looks as good as both a casual shoe with chinos, cords and jeans and with more formal business dress also. Glad that I can use this shoe in many venues and not just business dress given that the office of today is very diverse and it can play nicely in many non-business settings. Really a great shoe to have in my closet.

Satisfied....and I am a TOUGH customer

My past 3 reviews of Allen Edmonds shoes expressed disappointment; and I am happy to have a lot of good to say about a product from a company I have been loyal to.
The leather on these shoes is soft, the fit (while wearing thick socks) is perfect, and the coloring is gorgeous. What more can I say?
