Versatile Shoe

This is a shoe that looks great with suits and casual slacks. I also use it with jeans while on business trips so I don’t pack any shoes, just wear the ones I use the entire business week.
One thing I learned was the shoe squeaks due to the leather strap over the leather tongue. Shoe cream and other leather care products don’t work. What does work is the least expected product…get some of the personal lubricant (the clear kind) and put a small dab under the strap and the shoe is absolutely quite.
I have 3 AE shoes and this one is superior in its styling and versatility. Glad I got rid of that squeak. Get this shoe and follow my recommendation.
I know Customer Service contacts customers to take care of issues they bring up on thier reviews.
I'd like them to contact me because I have provided a proven solution to issues others have stated. My idea works and will save customers.
Please send me a Black pair of Norwich's so I can review them.

Very good looking shoe

Very good looking shoe and nice to get a good pair of dress shoes without having to fiddle with laces. I did have an issue with the left shoe with the leather being very squeaky when walking around. The way the shoe is constructed has the top part of leather rubbing against the sides with every step. Didn't have this issue with the right shoe for whatever reason. I just put some oil on it and the squeaking seams to have subsided for now but considering the price I don't see why I would have to do that. I also agree with some of the other reviews about the shoe running narrow. I also bought a pair of fifth avenues with both pairs in wide. These seem to be a little tighter than my fifth avenues.

I have 3 pair of your McNeil's which I love, but this shoe fits very tight, although I ordered them in wide, as are my McNeils. Very misleading fit, especially for the price.
