Beautiful shoes but runs narrow

I have been wearing AE shoes for over 20 years. Owned mostly the dress lace up oxfords and casual loafers. Purchased monk strap for something different. Bought the brown and it looks really nice and the double sole looks very durable. Unfortunately, the shoes run narrow compared to MacNeil or Strand. They feel comfortable for a couple hours but not for whole day. Still trying to break them in and hoping they will stretch enough to be comfortable to wear the entire day. If you like the look, make sure you try them on before buying.

These shoes are a little hard to fit, so make sure you try them on in store.
If you get the right fit, these are great. I tried two different sizes and ended up having to return one.
The shoe is an underrated classic. The brown burnish is beautiful and the shoe is elegant in its simplicity. The brown looks much better in real life than on the site. The dovetail heel is a unique from other calfskin AE shoes and adds more elegance.
The shoes are simple enough to look great with a suit, trousers, chinos and even jeans. I highly recommend them.

This shoe runs very narrow

I purchased this shoe about a year ago to replace what i thought was the same model (Boston) which i later determined was different. As with all my other AE shoes, the quality is top notch. But after a year of trying to get the shoe to fit and not cause total pain... Ive given up. So beware, if your foot is a bit wide... Chose this shoe with caution as it is a very narrow fit.

Great Looking Show, Most Uncomfortable

I have over 15 pair of AE's and these are by far the most uncomfortable pair in the stable. The Norwich in brown is absolutely beautiful - it gets lots of compliments. However I cannot make it through an entire work day much less a business trip in comfort and I've had them for over a year now. The Norwich runs narrow - I've had my local AE store put them on the stretcher and I've applied leather conditioner numerous times but just can't seem to get them to work. They've almost become a challenge trying to get them to break, but I'm just about to the point to hang them up, which is unfortunate because they look so good.
