These shoes are great-looking and exude quality. The fresh leather smell right out of the box was incredible, as if they had just been made. Allen-Edmonds shoes are the best.

ConsWide width
This is a well-made, comfortable and stylish shoe. Some of the comments mentioned this being a noisy shoe, but I didn't have that experience. I also ordered a wide-width shoe (normally wear a D), based on the comments, but found the width to be true to size.

Tricky to Fit, But a Great Look

Prosmonk strap
I had been searching for a monk strap shoe for some time before I settled on the black Norwich shoes from AE. They are a really classy/dress look, but I have also seen them worn with jeans. The shoes definitely took a little while to break in, and with a few free adjustments from the sales associates in the shoe department who helped stretch the shoes for me in one place. I would recommend these shoes but HIGHLY suggest that you try them on for a good while to make sure they're comfortable, and talk to the employees about if stretching adjustments would help them fit.

Color is way off

Be warned the color is way off on the picture of the brown. It's likely an entirely different shoe. The buckle is a brushed stainless - not an antiqued brass/bronze as the picture shows. The upper is dark brown not a camel color. The sole is dark wood, not a light wood. I like the picture better then the shoe I received but I still kept the ones I received.
