Uncomfortable
PostedJanuary 5, 2017
I love the look of these boots, very classy and they go with every suit (except black, of course). I got them in dark-brown and opted for the rubber V tap sole. After waiting for them to arrive, I picked them up and after one or two wears, I noticed the heel separating. I took them back to the local store and it was fixed. The next time I wore them, they seemed a lot tighter than when I first tried them on and the leather seemed to bubble out on the sides. The store stretched them twice, but to no avail since they gave me blisters on the sides of my feet anytime I would wear them. I absolutely love the look, but I regret buying them as I've had nothing but trouble since getting them. I have multiple pairs of AE shoes (Strand is my favorite) all in same size/width. My new pair of Normandy Boots (same size) are very comfy and actually roomy in places.
All in all, I regret my purchase and wish I could just get rid of them.

The aristocrat of boots
PostedOctober 9, 2016
The Fifth Street Dress Boots and a pair of Daltons - every time I wear them I'm flooded with compliments - are two of the best boots I've had. The Fifth Street Dress Boot Competes with the Dalton as an actual head turner, and injects an air of aristocracy into whichever room they are introduced. The only draw back is that I tend to cross my legs a lot when I'm seated and because these boots are so beautiful, I'm always self conscious about crossing my legs when wearing them - it's almost as if I'm showing off. Nevertheless, I am immensely satisfied with my pair.

Nice and classy dress boots! Very vintage 1920s style!

Owning two pairs of Fifth Street boots. Though the leather seems hard at first, but after a while of trying on the boots and walk around, it becomes softer and go with my foot shape. I personally suggest wearing this at EEE if you have a feet larger than 10.3cm width in the widest part of your feet, and the high foot instep gives some extra room on the upper part of the foot.
Very classy style, and it gives a good surprise to people who think you are wearing a pair of brogue leather shoes. Going well with a cropped hem dress pant and three pieces suit, if you are looking for a VINTAGE suiting style like "Boardwalk Empire", don't miss the Fifth Street.
Overall, very good pair.

Workhorse dress boot
PostedJuly 13, 2016
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These 5th Streets are my new workhorse dress option!
When traveling for work, I need a super versatile shoe/boot than can be worn with a suit or sport coat during the day, and then pair with denim at night or while flying. These fit the bill perfectly - and have since replaced my Bleecker Streets.
