Been waiting to pull the trigger on these beautiful Fifth Street Dress Boots and finally did it on Christmas Day (Merry Christmas to me). I've gotta say that they surpassed all my expectations and the images on the AE website don't do these beauties justice. Once you see these boots in person and on your feet, you'll be happy you just dropped a good amount of coin for these.....and you'll thank the cow that sacrificed their hide. I have 14 pair of AE shoes/boots and these are my new favorites (Vernon dress oxfords and Dalton boots very close behind). A little tight out of the box and run a bit narrow but the leather is extremely soft and seems like they're going to break in quickly and be everyday comfortable in the coming weeks. They run true to size for the most part.

Sizing can be tricky

These are great looking boots and outfitted with the dainite sole provides classy, all weather footwear. The challenge is that my preferred AE size is a 9C and the boots don't come in a C width. Based on other comments, I chose a 8.5 D. They were perfect for length but sloppy for width. I then added the AE leather insoles and now they are pretty good. Perhaps still a bit tight but over time I think they will stretch a bit and be fine.

Fantastic all around boot!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I now own these boots in black and brown. LOVE THEM!! Perfect all around boot. D runs little narrow and size runs tad small. Maybe due to being narrow.

Beautiful Boot - Poor Quality

The good:
Very nice looking. Actually can dress up or down very easily. The leather is top notch and the sole is very soft and comfortable. The brown leather is a very rich color.
The bad:
After owning these since July the quality is sub par compared to my other AEs. The stitching on the right inside boot has come out. There is also stitching that came off the Tounge. Doesn’t affect functionality at all but would expect more.
I would say great looking boot but be careful and make sure quality is as expected. I couldn’t recommend these as they just don’t seem as durable as any of my other pairs.
