Feels like slippers

I have these shoes in both walnut and black. The walnut is specially very comfortable. The leather in both is very soft and fells like napa leather. I had a trip recently where I was flying for 16 hours each way and I wore the walnut Jefferson because of how comfortable it feels. I'm hoping that Allen Edmonds start expanding more on their independence collection. You can easily feel the difference between them and a strand or Macllister. If you live in the Boston area, I would highly recommend going to the state's St. store. James over there is excellent.

Great shoe. Stylish and comfortable

I bought the Jeffersons in Walnut. They are the best pair of shoes I have ever owned. They look really fantastic! I was initially skeptical about paying the extra money for the Jeffersons, but my girlfriend convinced me they looked better. Having owned them for a couple of months, I can say with certainty that they are definintely worth the extra money.
They're also really comfortable. I have bad knees and find that if I'm wearing dress shoes, rather than sneakers, at the end of the day my knees are very stiff and I'm in quite a bit of pain.
That is not the case with these shoes. I was on my feet, walking around in them for more than ten hours last week, and my knees were fine afterward. Based on how great these shoes have been, I'll be buying another pair of Independence line shoes soon (as soon as I save up for them).

there is a nail on my just purchased shoe sticking out from the heel. Along with other shoddy workmanship, I am surprised by the lack of attention to detail.

Good quality shoe, needing some adjustments

Good quality shoe, however one fits a bit different then the other. Also there needs to be a bit of a design change. To much of the top of the show showing making it look longer then it is. And yes, I have well tailors suits and it shouldn't look like that. thanks.
