Quality Control Still Baaaad

Classic AE Quality Control.
Simply keep returning until you get a good pair. It baffles me this wasn’t install dumped into factory seconds.
Also, the button to upload pictures does not seem to be working, but trust me, these are awful.

Like many others here, I waited for a long time before purchasing this boot and was looking for something that would be a long-lasting wardrobe staple. After wearing the boots for a few weeks I noticed that the gusseted boot tongue twisted on both feet and was uncomfortable. I thought that perhaps if I just kept breaking them in, it would eventually lay right since I’ve never encountered this issue with other boots. It didn’t improve so finally I reached out to customer service. They directed me to send my boots in for inspection, which I did, and I received confirmation that they would be sent to their recrafting department for repair. I received the boots back a few weeks ago and the “repair” was essentially to sew the tongue to the side of the boot—but not even so that it was anchored in a straight position. The result is sloppy looking and uncomfortable. I’ve reached out again to AE customer service requesting either a replacement or refund and I guess I’ll see what happens. My sense though is that this is a very common problem so it’s something I’d advise anyone considering this boot to really look out for.

The shoe was beautiful yet a bit stiff. It also runs small about 1/2 size. I have wider feet as well so I would say go up 1/2 or if you’re too wide don’t bother. These are for narrow to medium width feet.
