I'll start by saying I'm not normally not a big boot person, but I really like this pair. They look great dressed up or casual and are super comfortable. Probably my favorite boots around.

An incredibly beautiful pair of boots

I've a pair of these in walnut, and I've received an enormous number of compliments on these boots. The color is just about perfect. Sturdier than my Cronmoks, though not as comfortable.
It's a trifle narrow, though others have said that this is a problem that resolves after some breaking in. It's a fairly versatile pair of boots that you can wear with jeans or slacks, but it's not a foul-weather boot.

Chocolate love
Not a lot of boots exist that bridge the gap between dress and casual well on both sides. I was looking for a pair of boots I could wear at work/all the time, and these boots are perfect. The quality of the leather is great, though admittedly stiff new. Size runs as marked.
Side by side with the Long Branch the similarities are apparent - they share similar lines and styling cues. The Long Branch is much more comfortable straight out of the box. However, it will not cut it in a formal occasion like the Dalton does. Conversely, if there is snow/inclement weather, the Dalton is not what you want.
Overall, the boot is fantastic. See posted pic for a closer look at the chocolate. The walnut is really nice as well - eye catching and warmly toned. The chocolate version is a bit more subdued - once you see it in person it may take a second to notice it, but it stays with you.

Great boots

Got a pair of these almost 1 year ago and have been very pleased with the purchase. They look great with jeans on the weekend or trousers for casual Friday. I have gotten more than a few positive comments on them. Also, they have only gotten more comfortable with each wearing.
