My title pretty much describes these tights. I'm 5'3" 170 lbs bought size Tall. Plenty big, but I think the extra size helps to avoid muffin top. They are indeed thick and opaque. They have a strange odor.....originally smelled like petroleum, so I washed them in Woolite on gentle, and then sprayed the top area with Febreze, not being sure if it would cause spotting. (it didn't) I put them in the dryer for a few minutes on extra low setting, then hung to air dry. Now, they smell sort of musty. I won't buy again, not sure if I will wear them.

Great quality for the price point - durable, warm, comfortable and truly opaque. Tall fits great for 6' (36-inch inseam, size 6 pant). Deducted a star for the prominence of the joining seam, as it's visible beneath clothing (a common problem with DKNY tights).

I LOVE these tights. They are thick, hold you in, and haven't ripped once. I used to wear commando tights, which are lower quality and more expensive. I cannot recommend these enough!
