This is more a jewel or a piece of art than a lipstick. It feels so chic to pull it out and boom there is the gold case with that button that allows you to get the color bar in one second. It is truly ingenious and so convenient. You will never worry about the cap of your lipstick falling on the ground or gone missing. Because I like the hot pink lip look like a barbie doll, I got Champs Elysees and Shalimar. I wanted to pick one, but its impossible because there is a hint of difference between them. The first looking more purplish hot pink than the second. Both sexy. The color covers, stays for a long time, its smooth and moisturizes the lips. I now want to get fluo stiletto because it was not available before.
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!!! I bought this in the Shalimar color and it was just as described. It looks ELEGANT and like weapon when u pull it out. Definately buying more.
I find it very difficult to find just the right shade of lipstick for my coloring. I'm very fair, blue green eyes and 68 yrs old. I needed to find a shade that brightens my face, but not harsh so as to add 20 years to my appearance. Shalimar! What a gorgeous color! I combined it with the Guerlain lip pencil in Rose de Mai (#63) and Lo! I'm a beauty queen(or I just feel like one!). I have received many compliments on this look. Aside from the color, this lipstick feels great on my lips - very moisturizing and long lasting. The next runner up to Shalimar is Champs Elysees #165, which is a bit deeper and I reserved that color for evenings. I must give a shout out to the Guerlain lady at Nordstrom Valley Fair (San Jose, Ca) for her unending patience and excellent help in finding the great colors!
I like the perfume and heard that the perfume was designed for blonds. So I thought that the lipstick color would also be designed with blonds in mind. I don't know if that is true, but this color makes the blue in my eyes sparkle. Too dramatic for daytime, but very pretty at night when a little sparkle is welcome.
