A lovely dress, well constructed but sized incorrectly. The Black Halo website sizes stop at 12, but a size '14' tag was clipped to the dress (no size in the label tag or any other sewn in tag) on the dress.

Thank you for your review. Please note that we special ordered from the vendor to make the size 14 available to Nordstrom customers. Also, we checked the dress and found the size and content label in the lower left side seam. As always, we appreciate your feedback.

A fabulous, slimming, A+ dress. I felt like a million in this dress. Fits a bit small to size. Looks simple on the hanger but this is a stunner on ladies. I am a 52 year old size 12, bought the 14 and it fit perfect. Wore for an Oct. outdoor wedding in the evening, in the NW. When I tried this on there was a 25 year old who saw me in it...she bought one in blue she like it so well, for her birthday trip to Las Vegas.

I am about 5'9", 140-145 lbs. and a 36B; the size 8 fits perfectly and just covers my knees. My only beef with the fit is it may be a bit too short-waisted on me with the belt coming at least an inch above my waistline. The belt is just okay, so I will be looking for an eventual replacement. The fabric is soft and does not seem to wrinkle, but I have yet to wear it. The color of red was as expected and as shown on my screen. I've thought about buying this for a long time and am glad I did, especially upon when hearing my husband's comment when I first tried it on. He never says anything! The dress is well made but may be overpriced. Time will tell if it's a wise investment.

After reading the reviews about the dress not being true to size I decided to go into the store and try on the dress. I'm 5'4 and 135 lbs and the size 4 fit perfectly. The only thing is it is slightly long (nothing a little alteration cant fix). But it fits so perfectly otherwise! It's a beautiful, sophisticated dress...I love it and would definitely recommend this dress.
