Beautiful Plum Dress

My son is getting married 11/01/14 and I was pleased at the great selection of beautiful formal plus size dresses on Nordstrom's website. I sent the Bride/Groom links to 5 dresses and they ranked them for color and style. The dresses are not stocked locally; I bought 3 to try at home. Any of the 3 would have worked. Top quality fabric, wonderful beading. The sleeves on this dress are dramatic and special. The neckline is elastic, which is a bit odd. But I would have been delighted to wear this to my son's wedding if it weren't for the one I kept.
I did return this dress and kept item #636247. I took this dress and #296813 to my local Nordstrom store, and the return process was painless!
I purchased this for a black tie wedding in November. The sizing on the web was perfect! and it fits perfect as I was expecting. I've been ordering from Nordstrom.com for some time and it always arrives promptly and well packaged. I only wish they had they had the same selection in the store. Thanks for making plus size shopping a pleasure, and the selection/quality far better than any other shop in my area.

Like a Princess!

Proselegant, beautiful
I bought this dress for my son's wedding in July. I need a plus size and there are not many options out there. When I saw it on the hanger in the store it didn't Wow me but I decided to try it on anyway. As soon as I put it on and looked in the mirror "WOW"! I felt like a Princess! It's absolutely Beautiful! The sales associate remarked "that dress was just waiting for you!" It fits me perfect and needs no alterations. I'm 5'4" and it is floor length on me. I may wear a low heel or ballerina shoes. I love the color. Purples look very good on me. It is a beautiful dress with all the beading. Its simple but elegant and very slimming. I found the perfect dress!

Prosdisappointing, poor neckline
I was disappointed to discover the bodice has an elastic gathering around the neckline. I can only guess it is for a person with a full bust line. It almost reminded me of a tube top. If you're not large enough on top, the elastic gathers and looks a bit odd. The neckline is square in the back and the dress straps didn't come in far enough to hide my bra straps. Overall, the color and bead work is beautiful. I wish the picture / description showed / mentioned the elastic gathering at the neckline. It would be nice to have a picture showing the back of the dress as well.
