I felt the hood was worthless.

The hood was huge and hung down over my eyes. The material is thin so the hood didn't have any body to hold it up out of my face and as others have said it didn't have a drawstring around the hood. The tags on the coat didn't say anything about what made it waterproof, such as Gore Tex with sealed seams. I want a good looking raincoat but it must be functional. I returned it. I thought it was expensive for what you got.

I wanted a longer-length, packable rain coat for travel and was pleased to find this coat on sale. I am 5'9" and weigh about 145 lbs but only petites were available on sale so I thought, "what the heck, I can always return it". It was, after all, 33% off and I hate paying full price-especially for such an expensive item. I usually wear a size 10 or Medium, but ordered both the med and the large, since it is a petite. The large fits me very nicely-even the sleeve length. I love the style and the adjustable cinch in the back doesn't cause it to hang funny like some other reviewers mentioned. In fact, I like the look better than the changes to the back they made on this year's coat. It has a very smooth, semi-fitted look and a nice, large hood. It is roomy enough to wear lightweight winter layering pieces underneath, if necessary. I haven't worn it in the rain or traveled with it, but hope that it will fit my needs. I would like it better if it came in bright colors for those dreary, rainy days. I only gave it a 4 star rating, because I haven't used it and don't know what it's going to be like for travel and how it will do in the rain. It's definitely a 5 star on appearance and fit.

Prosversatile
We're going to Europe and I wanted a raincoat which looked great, had a nice (detachable) hood, and packed compactly. I had almost given up the search when I found this. Wow! It's exactly what I wanted. It's very well made, fits like a charm (with just a little extra room in case you're wearing a sweater or light jacket underneath) and comes with its own small satchel. I'm so happy. It's worth every penny.

Proswell made but...
While well made and true to size, this raincoat only zips up- and I can't manage a raincoat without a belt, especially for summer rains when it is far too hot to be zipped in a waterproff coat! wish it had a belt....
