During a lengthy search for the perfect pair of black pants/jeans I ordered and kept these. I haven't worn them yet but will pack them for a trip to Los Angeles in late November. The fabric is just perfect for fall, spring or summer weather, and they fit me very well. Most pants I buy are too large in the waist if they fit through the hips, but these St. John pants are cut so that the waist is just right. I was a bit skeptical about the slanted front pockets which I'm unaccustomed to, but I see that the pants are still very flattering, and I've decided I like the pockets which provide an accent. I've found that St John runs large, so I ordered a size 6 even though I normally wear an 8 in other brands. I highly recommend these, even with their price which is higher than what I started out looking for. As
I had been looking for a dressy black pants for a long time and this pants were the “ones “. The fit is perfect for my body (the sizing chart is very helpful) and I can dress them up or down depending on the event. They are worth the money you paid for them. This pant is a “keeper”!
The equivalent of the little black dress. Great for travel, goes through day into evening. Fit unusually small for St. John.

Prostrue fit.
I ordered several different pant styles from St John before I ended up with the "Emma" Crepe pants. So the moral to the story is....keep trying and you'll find that perfect fitting pant. Not too narrow through the hips, but straight enough to be stylish. They look great for business or casual.
