Prosfeminine, floral
Oscar de la Renta perfume is very feminine. This scent has musk undertones that work nicely with the floral scent for me.
I've purchased this off and on since it's debut.
It can be strong and one or two squirts is plenty. Should last a long time.

Needs patience
PostedJune 22, 2014
On first application, very strong, so, "Need to use sparingly", I thought, and did. By the time I was dressed and in the car, I felt like I wasn't wearing perfume......and my escort actually remarked on my "soapiness"!
So....I like Oscar, but I guess I have to learn how to use it. The question becomes, "Why bother?" There are so many wonderful fragrances these days, and so many old favorites, any of which are only a spray away. No, I won't buy Oscar again.

Love the new Esprit d'Oscar
PostedMarch 14, 2014
Prosfeminine, floral, fresh
I wore the original Oscar at times during the 1980s, but it wasn't my favorite. The new Esprit d'Oscar is much better (on me) than the original -- it's floral, it's spicy, it's smooth and powdery. Yet there's a hint of the original Oscar in the background. I hope more products will soon be offered in the Esprit -- I will buy them to layer. Comparing the original to the new -- to me the original was more serious, and the new Esprit is more fun, flowery and feminine, but it doesn't smell quite like anything else on the market to me. It definitely doesn't smell cheap. I can't say how this perfume will work on someone else, but I highly recommend it based on how well it has worked with my body chemistry. Spray it on in the morning, and add a little spray late in the evening.

Classic new scent
PostedJanuary 14, 2014
Prosfeminine, floral, fresh
Not to be confused with the original Oscar; this was created in 2011. Couldn't wear Oscar, it smelled like detergent on me. This smells more like Chanel No 5 Premier. Top notes are all about Citrus; dries down to a beautiful vanilla classic soft scent. Very clean and classic. Please disregard the other reviewers that assume this is the original Oscar. Far from it and in a very good way.
