I've used this item only once. And immediately I felt as though my toes and fingers looked brighter...more vibrant. I used in combination with the buffer file. I didn't bother to put any color on top. Can't stop looking at my nails!
This is a nice base. It dries fast and nail polish adheres very well to it. It does help minimize the vertical ridges in my nails. It's not completely opaque but not super sheer either. It does look nice worn without polish, so if you're in a hurry one coat of this gives your nails a very nice finished look. The color is a pinky/peach, very natural looking, I like it. My nail polish wears about the same with this as it does with other bases. I'm constantly doing housework and gardening so I always end up with chipped polish at the tips of my nails--I don't expect any product to prevent that. I'd recommend trying this, I know I'll buy it again.

Prosperfect, clean applicatio, works well alone
I'm low-maintenance when it comes to polish, but I like a clean and well-groomed look. I've been wearing this alone - fingers and toes. One coat lasts nearly a week on me and keeps looking great. It's just a beautiful, natural look. I'm usually frustrated with polish when it collects around the cuticle during a manicure and then pulls away from the cuticle later, making it obvious I'm wearing polish. This polish bonds with the nail-bed, and application is so clean that it appears to be my natural nail. No thicker line at the cuticle. One coat does it for me. Makes my nails look clean and fresh and I don't have to worry about polish for about a week!
I bought this and also the "all about that base" base coats. I returned that one, because it looked streaky and the color was off for my nails. This one goes on without streaks, evens out the ridges, and makes my nails look natural, only better (I usually do not wear colored polish). It does dry with a matte finish, so I top it with the "addicted to speed top coat", which I also highly recommend. My nails look healthy and pretty and feel strong. Ridges are not visible. Love!
