great shoe, but beware
PostedOctober 16, 2012
These are a great pair of flats and they were comfortable the first time I ever wore them! They are super cute and match basically any outfit, BUT they only look good for so long... After wearing them for about a month the gold has completely worn off in some spots and now they look completely different. The spot where my big toe hits has no gold whatsoever so it looks so worn out when I wear them. Believe me I wanted to like these shoes, I'm sad even looking at the picture of what they used to look like. For the price, I'd much rather get a solid color because Frye does make great flats. Quite honestly, it's the fabric I had a gold TB wallet and it did the exact same thing, literally put a piece of tape on it and the gold came off.

Prosawesome
ConsMedium width
The shoe looks nothing like the picture. They are much cuter, they look marbleized with the color of pale yellow ,silver,a black like gray. My daughter game them to me for my birthday and I Love them they will go with anything. I have an artificial leg and they fit that well. I would recommend a skid plat. They are sold where the heel and foot pads are they are like sand paper and you adhere them to the bottom front of the shoe because the shoe is leather it is slippery. I wood also recommend the mink oil to keep the leather of the shoe soft as directed.

At the end of my shoe shopping trip, I noticed these shoes on a side table...I went originally planning to purchase two new pairs of Tori Burch flats, but I'm so glad I found these. I did purchase one TB, but I walked away extremely happy with these. The sales girl did warn me that her friend recently bought these Frye flats and wished she would have gone smaller. I took her recommendation and got the 9 instead of my usual 9.5. I was weary at first becaus they were very snug, but after a few days of wear they were the perfect size. Even if you're concerned, I would definitely go at least a half size down.
Also, the leather is so supple and soft, extremely well made. These shoes were well worth my hard earned cash and I plan to buy more in the future.

Not Flexible

Prosnot comfortable
ConsMedium width
This flat is no doubt beautiful. I love the unique colors and antique look. The feel however was not flexible as the blurb describes. I have wider feet and this just did not stretch. The front was very tight. If you walk a lot, these are not the flats you will want to be wearing. I tried the black flat; they felt much better. The associate stated the leather is a bit different. I will be trading them in. Sad, I wanted to make them work.
