It will darken leather a bit but I am at piece of mind knowing that my boots are protected in the "weather"!

I have several pairs of frye shoes (boots and flats) so of course I had to buy the weatherproof products to go with them.
CONS: The first time I used the spray, were on taller boots that were a light brown, the thing is; is that after hours of letting the oil dry off, the boot was a shade darker. Not to mention when I pressed the button only half way, the oil came shooting out in one long streak but when I pressed all the way down it was in a mist, that was another thing I had to look out for because the streaks do show on the shoe.
PROS: I have these driving loafers from them that are this unique bronze color that I used many times, I applied the spray on and, again, turned them a shade darker. Which was exactly what it needed since the bronze color started to look more rich.
I gave this five stars because I was more worried about weatherproofing my fryes than the color. But like I mentioned earlier, it depends on the color of fryes you have too. It really revived my bronze colored fryes and you obviously wont be able to tell on black ones, it'll just kind of make your fryes look from being "dehydrated" to "hydrated".

The directions on the bottle are not difficult to follow; however, as soon as you spray it on it leaves huge dark spots that are impossible to remove/blend with the cloth it specifies you wipe with in the directions. In other words, this stuff will completely stain your expensive pair of Frye boots. I will never use this product again; it's going in the garbage. If you are looking for a weatherproofing agent, use the Frye conditioning cream also sold at Nordstrom. Luckily I had some and it additionally helped to minimize the stains left behind from the spray although they are still visible.
