I've been looking for a new perfume, for 25 years. In the meantime, I keep going back to this elegant scent, praying that Lancome won't discontinue it! I've worn this perfume every day since the early 1990s when I was living in Australia and every time I put it on a host of memories wafts through me. Olfactory memory is a well-documented scientific phenomenon. As a professor of theater, I've even used this perfume for a play about a heavenly garden. From the balcony, I spritzed it onto the audience below. Fortunately the scent is not over-powering or oppressive, and people only remarked about how lovely the garden scene was! Recently one of my nieces hugged me and murmured, "Yum, you smell like Auntie M!" Although this perfume is sometimes available only during the spring and summer, for me it will always be a year-round treat. Until I find a new one!
''O de Lancome'' is a favorite of my 85 year old Mother. It's been hard to find in the Denver area, but was exceptionaly easy to get on the Nordstrom web site.
