I have a 13.5" calf and these boots fit perfectly. I went up a half size and found the fit to better for thicker socks. These boots are gorgeous and look beautiful dressed up with tights or more casual with skinny jeans. They are WARM and waterproof. I can't wait to wear them this winter as I brave my walking commute to work.

Wanted black boots to wear over skinny jeans. These boots were absolutely perfect until the last 4". The leather is beautiful, craftsmanship great, lovely, simple classic look, and the foot and calf fit perfectly. Well, fit perfectly until the top 4". Then they flared out, so much so that I could fit my hand in. I don't know if this is due to the diagonal cut at the top or the zippers on both sides, but it ruined the sleek look I wanted. Plus, because I'm short, the flare was right below my knees so it looked like my thighs continued down below my knees. I think these might be gorgeous on a person taller than 5' (though I do have long legs for my height), but the flare just didn't work on this height challenged woman. I took off a star because of the flare, but if the look had worked for me I would have given them a raving 5 stars. The hunt continues for a black, narrow calf boot.
