Great product

It fits true to size, but may feel tighter at the baginning because of how rigid the fabric is at first. It softens and stretches as it breaks in. Well crafted jeans in excellent color and weight. Remember to wash separately as the color is will bleed.

Order your true size
PostedMarch 14, 2019
I followed the recommendation and ordered one size up (33"). However, I've realized that I can simply order my true size (32") and will be fine with it. After a couple of washes, the jeans don't really shrink as they are supposed to, according to the cleaning instructions of raw denim. Unless you like your jeans a little relaxing, I would definitely recommend that you order your true size.

Best Denim Ever. New Favorite Brand!
PostedOctober 2, 2018
Great jeans. They really do not run small thoug. I wear a 34 waist and took the advice of another reviewer and ordered 36. What are they talking about? Fit like a blanket. Geez. Had to reorder in 34 and found they stretch out quite a bit over time so ordered another pair in a 32. Too tight so settled on a 33 which fits beautifully. I love this denim. Stiff but really fine. If I didn’t want to break in properly I could always wash by these beauties are going not see a wash for quite some time. I do wish the 33s came as long as th fist pair I ordered. I’m a 34” Inseam and they came a good 36” which is great cause they’ll shrink up to 4% per the label. Sadly the 33s which fit perfectly in the waist are just a tad shy of 35” inseam so may shrink a bit short once washed. Still not to bad and according to label you can stretch length wise when damp to retain length. Still I do not recommend going up two sizes. I’d say order your usual size. Worked for me.

Nice raw selvedge
PostedDecember 9, 2015
Prosdurable, well constructed, fashionable, slim
If you are unfamiliar with raw, selvedge denim: selvedge denim is from the old fashioned shuttle looms which produces a cleaner edge (self-edge... get it?) which probably does nothing from my experience other than make cuffing more fashionable. Its visibly different and I suppose looks more premium. Raw denim, in my opinion, is a bit more important. Its for the most part, a dyed and unwashed piece of denim. And you aren't supposed to wash it often if at all. Over time the dye will wear and give you those factory produced fades naturally from your own personal wear.
This pair of Naked and Famous Weird Guy jeans is a nice cut of denim, a good weight, and seems well constructed. Its hefty, but not overly heavy. The seams look well stitched unlike some other cheaper brands from my experience. Also, the buttons seem solid and unlikely to fail.
The Weird Guy cut is considered a slim cut. Its not overly skinny or tapered, but is more form fitting than a standard or the common boot cut. As a guy with a fairly average larger build where I know I'm too big for a skinny fit and boot/straight looks too baggy, its a good cut. I do wish it was a bit more tapered though. But that may have something to do with my height. The jeans come a bit long, so if you are taller you may have more luck.
It does come slightly small in the waist if you are in between sizes... I think an inch less than vanity size (so if you wear 34in jeans by US measurements, your waist is actually 36in... this pair in 34in is actually 35in). However, the jeans should stretch a bit with wear. So, use your own judgment.
Also, another downside to raw denim is that it has a tendency to be stiff out of the box. It takes some wear to break them in and be comfortable. However, from my experience, N&F is actually pretty comfortable and softer relatively speaking. So, breaking in is minimized. Also, from my experience, is that the color lasts longer. So, while you may not have your personal faded jeans quickly, you have a richer, longer lasting color which is preferable in my mind. I'm patient.
Overall, I would recommend them. I have jeans I enjoy more mostly because they fit and feel more comfortable with time and familiarity, but these are definitely a nice pair of jeans.
