Fantastic, but inconsistent.

Long story (in following paragraphs), so to summarize: 1.) Sizing is inconsistent, but once you get a good pair, they are classy, sexy, and all-day comfortable (especially the regular leather on the comfort), so with Nordstrom's generous return policy, I'd recommend trying a few 2.) Standard leather breaks in beautifully, patent seems like it wouldn't, suede appears to be breaking in well, herringbone is a little scratchy on the edges, but they look so good I might put up with it.
A few years ago, I got a pair that were the perfect length and the leather was high quality enough to stretch perfectly to the width after a couple of weeks, so I could wear them all day comfortably. When they wore out I bought 3 more pairs (one in the patent) in the same size. Only one pair fit perfectly, the others were all too big. So I returned the big ones and bought more...same story...they fit perfectly about half the time and were otherwise too big. When I order enough that they come in separate shipments, it seems like maybe they come from different facilities and the shoes coming from one facility are bigger than the ones from the other? Also note, I did not keep any patent leather because they were too big, but they also seemed like they wouldn't break in as well.
Most recently, I got one pair of the suede eggplant and one of the herringbone, both of which are even tighter than the smaller leather pair (unworn backup pair used for comparison). Not sure if this is a function of these new materials, or if it's another instance of inconsistent sizing. Kind of a pain, but truly worth the effort.

This is a well made shoe and the price is great. I was expecting a wear all day comfortable shoe and for me this was not it.
I've been looking for a round toe pump with some extra width and thought I may have found it with this shoe, however these do run a little short and the edges are stiff so they rub your skin uncomfortably around the opening which can cause irritation and blisters. I returned the ones that I purchased, but if you size up a half size and wear socks or stockings they may be better. It is great they have the various widths. Not having my little toes squeezed was wonderful.

Prosgood quality, runs big, high heel
I bought the "Del" pump online- the style and color were exactly what I was looking for online. Of course, buying shoes online is always tricky. Knowing Nordstrom has a friendly return policy, I decided to take a chance. This particular shoe runs big. I am normally an 8 1/2- it was about half a size too big for me. When I tried it on, my heel was popping out of the back. The material and color were very nice (I ordered the camel color) however the heel was taller than appeared in the picture. I ended up taking these back.
