In the photo this dress appears navy; it's definitely a dark purple. It has a lot of detail & is a beautiful dress. I'm sorry it didn't work out for me! It would've been perfect for my son's wedding had it been navy.

I reordered this dress one size larger than the first one I received because the first one was a tad too tight. It was on back order and I patiently waited two months for the larger one to be shipped. When it arrived I eagerly donned it only to find it extremely too small on me. When I compared the two dresses the new one was at least two sizes smaller! It was four inches smaller in bust and hips. I had to return it,,,not the fault of Nordstrom but the manufacturer!s fault Unfortunately, the dress is no longer available in the size I need.

I ordered this dress for my daughter's wedding in eggplant. When it arrived it was absolutly beautiful. There was not a chemical smell and the hemline was perfectly straight. I had noticed with other reviews these 2 items were an issue. The size 14 fit like a glove. I am 5'3" and the hemline came just above my knee which was just right. Unfortunatly I had to return it because the color, in my opinion, was too dark for a June evening wedding. This dress would be perfect for a fall, winter wedding or event.

This dress is worth every penny. It fits wonderfully and is very well made. I am very impressed. I bought this for my daughter's wedding and can't wait to wear it.
