This dress looks absolutely beautiful in the picture and on the hanger. Unfortunately, when I tried the dress on, it has an awful odor. It absolutely reeks! I was so disappointed, since I was planning on wearing this dress to a wedding in a couple of weeks. I will be returning the dress to the store.

It is beautiful and fits wonderful! Time between ordering it and receiving it was reasonable and Nordstrom's kept me informed. I absolutely would recommend the dress and doing business with Nordstrom on line.

I really love the look of the dress on-line, it was exactly what I was looking for ( sheer sleeves with some beading on a sheath dress) perfect color. First disappointment is the hem is uneven, the right side was probable 2" shorter then the left. The long side just hit the top of my knee, which is what I wanted. second disappointment is the the beads and sequins are very shinny and pick up many different colors (pink, red, purple) it makes it have a bet too much sparkle. I wish they would make more dresses with sheer long sleeves.

I need a dress for a fancy, east coast wedding in the fall of 2012 and I live in a rural Rocky Mountain town, so shopping online was the only way. I'm almost 60, 5 foot 1, 130 pounds and this dress is so forgiving I can't believe it. The swish across the abdomen and the stretch in the fabric allow it to fit snugly without my looking like a middle aged woman who is trying too hard. The color really is eggplant which works well as my skin gets paler and it shines. I settled on the 8 petite and it is great.
