Roomy Slouchy Awesomeness

Prosroomy, slouchy, supple
I went into Nordstrom looking for a structured tote but walked out with this. (Still on the hunt for a great structured bag.) I had a hard time deciding between black and cement. I opted for cement because I thought it looked a little more luxe than the black. The metal logo on the front is an antiqued looking gold, almost brass and I wasn't crazy about that against the black leather. The structured handles are great for carrying in the crook of your elbow or hanging down. Very comfortable to hold. The detachable strap is long enough for crossbody but I don't care to wear the long strap. The main handles lay awkardly and just don't work when wearing the long strap. The body of the bag is very slouchy. It pretty much just puddles up when you sit it down. I love that it does that. I can just throw stuff in and grab stuff out without fumbling around with a zipper or flap. Its very roomy without being too huge. It has a lot of leather and hardware so it definitely has some weight to it. I like that though because you can just feel the quality. The leather is thick but so buttery soft. The cement color looks really light online but in person its a taupey grey. There are no feet on the bottom which was a little disappointing but I haven't had any issues with scratches on the bottom. I'm pretty rough with my handbags and after a month of use, this bag still looks brand new. I hope they offer this in more colors soon. I would love a blue!

I got this bag in the "rootbeer" color and I am so happy with it. I chose the color because it matches most of the colors I wear on a daily basis. I love the quality of the leather, very durable, it's the perfect size for me and is spacious. I'm always on the go so I love the crossbody shoulder strap option to keep my hands free. I'm very petite so wearing it, it's not too big and bulky looking on me, that's why I chose "Fran" over "Francesca" because I didn't want too large of a bag.

Fran is a Girl's Best Friend

I adore Fran, she is utter perfection! To be quite honest, I am convinced Marc Jacobs can do no wrong. This is my second MJ purchase and the quality is outstanding. The colors are rich and the leather is really supple. The bag is just slouchy enough for that casual yet polished look, but it still has some great structure in the clever hook closure which holds the inside of the bag together - all with a fun interior print and bonus interior pockets.
The final verdict? It's an investment piece, but will well earn its keep as a workhorse wardrobe staple. Add Nordy's fab customer experience to the mix and you can feel great about your purchase!
