Stylish walking shoes

I needed to buy shoes for a field trip to Washington DC and was looking for something that was comfortable to wear for 10 hours of walking for 7 days, yet stylish to go with a variety of outfits. I was hesitant at first just because Trotters is a brand that is a bit "older" looking (my mother-in-law loves them at 80). I was pleasantly surprised. They are stylish, very comfortable and I have received quite a few compliments on them. I was worried about the high gloss look, but they translate nicely from jeans to business attire to casual church wear. The only negative I'd say is that they are just a touch high on the heel and might wear after a while.
I can't comment on how these fit or feel, as I didn't even bother trying them on. As soon as I received them I took them out of the box for inspection, and immediately lost-interest; they look so cheap! The faux-croc is horrible and the sole appears to be plastic. Seriously, these look like a shoe I'd expect to see at Payless. Unfortunately I purchased three colors, and they're all going back.

These are cute and comfy (for work shoes, probably still wouldn't want to walk miles in them), but be warned that they are shinier than they look in the pics. I like them, but they might not be for everyone.
