It does just what I wanted it to do...makes my clothes lay perfectly with no panty lines. I bought a medium (even though I am a size 4-6) because I didn't want it tight.

Good lightweight shaper

These are great for giving a smooth, no jiggle appearance for white pants/jeans and dresses. They are very lightweight which is great for someone who does not need much shaping and a cooler option for summer vs. the highwaisted spanx.I ordered a Med. I am 5'6" 140 with an athletic build. I needed something to smooth out my cellulite and offer a little tummy pooch compression without being too constrictive and semi-comfortable. The waist was a little large on me but I have a small waist/pear shape body. I also bought these to wear with my wedding dress for summer.

Great Light Shaper

Proslightweight, comfortable
These are a great light weight shaper that are comfortable. They are the first shaper that I have tried that are not so tight that you feel like your circulation is being cut off. They have light control and smooth out lines etc...that being said if you feel you need a lot of control you should consider one of the other products . I only gave these 4 stars because I would have liked them to come up higher on the waist

The only reason I ordered Spanx is because Hanes no longer sells their "figure 8" shapewear. I'm wondering if the owner of Spanx bought everyone out so that she could be on top of the market. There are definately some bad /cheap shapewear out there, but Hanes had a couple that they just stopped making. It was much better than spanx in my opinion! So I tried these on when I got them, and they remind me of rubber balloons. They make noise when you walk. The figure 8 were simply like nylons that cut off at the thigh. They were quiet and comfortable with no lines at the knees either. I'm a size 4/6 but like to wear spanx to be extra modest when wearing thongs or fitted dresses. I really don't understand all the hype about SPANX. They are just ok but I needed some quality shapewear so I bought them. They don't have seams at the ends like cheap shapewear does. So its ok. However I bought them MUCH cheaper from "another" website. i won't say the name.
