All That Glitters

I purchased this eyeshadow in New Moon after seeing a friend wearing it at a Christmas party. It is VERY glittery which isn't necessarily a bad thing if you're a glitter fiend! That being said, as someone who doesn't wear a ton of makeup, it was a pretty intense choice for me and I don't know that I can pull off this look as well as my friend. The glitter does fall off some onto your face. The consistency is very creamy and it applies very easily. I prefer to use my finger vs. the brush provided. It is really lovely but very sparkly. When it came to removing, most of it came off easily, but some glitter hung around. For the price, I am not sure it was anything spectacular, but I can't say if there is anything out I've tried that is better.

I have nearly every color of Chanel's Illusion D'Ombre eyeshadows and I think they remain one of the best products on the market. I purchased New Moon as a backup, since it's one of my favorites. Caution- there is a bit of sparkle in this one, but I wear it in the evenings and it works out just fine- not overdone.

Pretty but not right for my needs.

This is beautiful on but takes time and practice to put on. The gel texture makes this tricky to put on. If you get too much on the tiny brush it will just fall off in clumps. The brush is cute but not really functional. It is supposed to be able to connect the brush and lid to make the brush longer and usable but it separates in your hand as you try to put on the product. Once you manage to get the product on it is luxurious and high quality with staying power. I don't have time to fuss with product to get it on so it made it not a functional product for me.
