This ocean blue eye shadow has a beautiful color in the pot. I tried to use the applicator brush included with it but did not work well. My sales associate suggested using fingertip to apply and then blend with brush but it is hard to get any amount of color in a smaller specific area without using a brush. I don't think I will keep it though the color is beautiful. These are not like the Dior pot shadows that are easy to apply with a brush. The color saturation does not seem to be the same as powder; seem very muted to me on application and I use an eye primer also as a base. I have also tried the another color which was a dark eggplant color and had the same experience. Don't think they are for me and can't really recommend.

My eyelids have a crease so I've never tried creme eyeshadow because I was worried about the shadow collecting in my crease. I was delighted to find that this was not a problem. The Chanel MUA used an eyeshadow base to add intensity to the color and make it last longer but even without the base, the there is good color payout and staying power. I purchased Iridescent, which is an iridescent white that can also be used as a highlighter all over for a beautiful glow. Illusory is a sparkly taupe with hints of purple, a perfect neutral. Rouge Noir is a light reddish plum to a deep burgundy, depending on how much you blend and apply. Love them all!

Proseasy to blend, long-lasting
I got this eyeshadow because I had complimented two ladies on two different occasions that were wearing it. This eyeshadow is beautiful all around! It has the perfect amount of shimmer, very smooth formula, easy to evenly apply and it lasts all day. The brush that comes it is awesome, it applies the eyeshadow seamlessly. The first day I wore it a lady said to me "I love your eyeshadow! You must tell me what it is?" With a big smile is replied "it's Chanel, New Moon"
