I don't wear eye makeup often enough to use anything up, ever. Still, I like to have an assortment of colors. When this product is new, it's awesome. But after awhile, something evaporates and they shrink inside the container. Not quite sure what I could be doing differently to prevent this from happening. I have four shades of this stuff, and all of them are shrunken. The newest one is a couple of years old. Should I keep them in the refrigerator or freezer?

Prosflakes, glitter fallout
I'm not sure if the formula has changed or if the batch that I got my product from was bad. But I have to agree with the other three reviews about the product fallout and too much glitter. I purchased the color Emerveille and while this color would have been perfect for everyday use there is just way too much glitter fallout. It's also very difficult to apply. I've tried over 20 different shadow brushes as well as using my fingers and I got the same results every time. I've even tried primer and I still have a difficult time applying this eyeshadow. Very disappointing because I really did love the color.
Don't get me wrong, I love a little shimmer in my shadows and these colors are very pretty.
But these have actual little specks of glitter in them which is a look that is hard to pull off. I wish there was a way to layer it so that you could have a sheerer wash of the color, but the opposite happens: if you put it on lightly with a fingertip, you see NO color payoff at all, it's just a lid full of glitter.
Yes, the staying power is pretty good, there's no creasing and neither the cream shadow nor the glitter tend to migrate (good to know for those people with sensitive eyes and contact lens wearers!)
But, glitter on my lids just wasn't the look I was after.
I bought this as an eye shimmer for casual daily wear as well as a base for Chanel shadows, but it has such a fluffy "mouse- like texture it crumbled into my lashes when I tried to apply it with my finger on my lid. I decided on a smashbox and dior formula, easier to apply and better color choices.
