The formula for this shadow is amazing! I got it in 83 Illusoire and I love the color! It's a great neutral with some grey and some purple tones. It easily applies with fingertips or the brush. I use my fingers and it applies and blends easily and lasted all day without fading or creasing.
I recently purchased the Emerveille shade after seeing beautiful photos of it online and a makeup tutorial with the fabulous Lisa Eldridge. Unfortunately, this product did not live up to the hype or to the standard of quality I have come to expect from Chanel Beauty after years of using their foundations, powders, eyeliners, and eyeshadows.
Pros: -Lovely rose gold color in pot -Luxurious packaging (but this is quite typical of Chanel) -Small brush included
Cons: -This shadow was way too glittery on the lids. In fact, when applied this shadow's color seemed to disappear and all I could see was glitter. -The texture was off. Other reviews described the texture as a spongy, creamy, mousse. The pot I received looked really dried out and lacked the consistency described in the other reviews. This texture made it hard to apply and hard to build color and blend. -High price point for a product that most likely has a very short shelf life.
This eyeshadow is super-blendable and fun to use, it is also very long-lasting and it does not crease. You can use fingers or the little brush provided to apply, I personally prefer fingers for a soft and hazy look. You really can't go wrong with these!
