I've been wanting to try this eye shadow pot for the longest time and I finally did! As soon as I got it, I tried it on and it gave the most beautiful glitter sparkles on my eyelids. I took one star off because of the tiny amount of fallout.
I noticed some reviews confuse this product with the Ombre Premier Longwear Cream Eyeshadow, which is a different formula and comes in many more colors. This formula is more "pillowy" than the Ombre Premier and moves around in the jar as you use it. I tried New Moon last year and found it way too sparkly and it ended up all over my face. Mirage, however, behaves quite differently and has become this summer's on-the-go, no-fuss eye shadow for me. For one thing, it requires no tools, as I just use a clean finger to apply, so great for applying after a the early morning gym session and before work or for travel. It is a beautiful, coppery shade that matches my medium, olive tone very well and just gives my lids enough sheen to look polished, but not made up. Finish with some eyeliner and mascara and it is the perfect nude look.
This is my second purchase of this fabulous eye shadow......I mean, when did you wear eye shadow that everyone from the grocery checker to a patron of the arts asks you how to get some? I wear it alone for a lighter day time look, and over any other color for something more dramatic.
Mirage is a beautiful taupe-bronze that applies like velvet and give a subtle, luminous glow. I have looked at these eyeshadows for so long but didn't want a cream because I thought it would be difficult to apply - not at all! I use either an eyeshadow brush or my finger and both apply beautifully. They can be worn alone or over a powder shadow with no streaking or uneven application and they are long wearing. I definitely plan to purchase other shades.
