Quality, as usual, is wonderful. However, I am not sure if it is due to the shoes length, this is just not a comfortable shoe and there is a lack of cushioning. Toe box appears longer than most; not a deal breaker by any means. I rarely wear this one.

I have admired the look of this Last for awhile. AE has several models in this Last which all look great, but I really liked the look of the Flatiron derby styled shoe, with a slight medallion on the toes. The leather is soft, the hand burnishing looks great, the style is cool in either work or casual mode and the fit is quite comfortable. This style may appear to look a bit long on you, but it is the way the style is designed. If I had decided on a 10.5 wide, then I don't think the upper would break where it is suppose to break (crease)... so go with your normal size. The only issue I have seen is that on some of the shoes I have seen some staining that didn't look like it was from the hand burnishing hence the score of 4 on the quality.

Great looking shoe, bad measurement..

I LOVE the look of this shoe, classy but modern at the same time. I always see people staring at them! My complaint has to do with the feel. The shoe runs narrow but was told it would break in. After wearing it over 20 times and having it stretched out (by AE) the fit is still not good (my pinky toe is killing me by the end of the day as it pushes against the side of toe box). I was recently resized at AE and the it looks like the correct fit would have been to go a 1/2 size up in lenght due to where the ball of my foot sits in the shoe. Needless to say I wish I had been told this when I orginally purchased. expensive lesson learned.

6th Pair of Allen Edmonds ... first time I've been upset

Shoes look great, bought the same size as my park avenues, they fit well when I tried them on, and then after wearing for a week they are uncomfortable to the point I will not wear them.
Here are my observations:
1) Stretching ... the shoes have stretched more than any of my other Allen Edmonds ... has resulted in my foot swimming around.
2) Lace design ... only having 3 lace holes places increased pressure on a concentrated spot on the tops of my feet causing pain and does not securely hold my foot in place (feeling foot is going to pop out of the shoe).
3) Sticking coming undone ... only wore the shoes for a week and a half inch of sticking has come unwound. Additionally looks like sticking missed the guide area (indented area on bottom where sticking supposed to be).
